Read each question carefully then read it again. Look at what it's asking you to do. Give it a go and post your answer in the comments box with your name :)

1.The Amazing Splitting Plant

The splitting plant grows in a special way.
In the first week, the stem splits into two branches.
In the second week, each of these two branches split into another two branches - making four branches altogether.

This keeps happening every week, until at the end of the sixth week each branch grows a flower.

How many flowers will the plant have?

2. How We'd Count

How many dots?

How did you count them?

3. How would you share?

Pirate Panda has taken all the treasure, 20 golden coins. Cat, Dog and Rabbit jump about
excitedly, “Can we have some too?”
“No! No! No!” says Pirate Panda.

Can the children suggest what Panda ought to do?
How many coins should each animal have?

In Term 2 we went off to the Zoo!

Room 14 and the junior school were lucky enough to visit the Zoo on the 13th of June. This was quite exciting for us as we had been looking at Animals for our topic. We especially enjoyed seeing the African Animals as most of us chose these animals to focus on in class.

We had a great time in the Zoo classroom. The Teacher showed us what a Zoo keeper does and we also got to touch everything in the room! There was a bear skin,a Cheetah skin and lots of stuffed animals. There were even some live geckos. We also talked about the importance of looking after animals in the world like Orang-utans because what we buy and eat might be helping cut down the forests where they live.

Here are some photos below:

Patrick the Outback Kangaroo

One beautiful morning in the Australian outback, Patrick the Kangaroo hopped out of bed with a spring in his step. He was so happy because he was going on a date with his girlfriend Laqueesha. He loved his girlfriend because she was as beautiful as a flower and as lovely as an angel.

Patrick put on his best tuxedo and went outside to get into the limo he had called for. Just before he hopped in the limo, he picked a red rose that was growing in his garden which reminded him of his girlfriend Laqueesha.

Patrick picked Laqueesha up from  her Pine tree house. He hid the red rose he had picked for Laqueesha behind his back and said, "this is for you". Laqueesha said "how romantic you are!"

They jumped into the limo then the driver dropped them by a lake in the middle of nowhere. So they walked to a nice and quiet spot by the lake. There was a big tree with shade so they set up their picnic. After they ate lots of food they fell asleep. They slept for an hour. When Laqeesha woke up Patrick was.......gone!

How do you think this story could end? write your ideas in the comments :)
